| Die Gründung erfolgte 1864 durch Dennis Leary, George W. Newkirk and the Porter Brothers. Die Mine lag am südlichen Rand von Butte im Bundesstaat Montana. Namensgeber war Hon. R. R. Parrott, ein bekannter örtlicher Rechtsberater. Erst 1879 fand man ergiebige Vorkommen und arbeitete bis 1910 einigermaßen Erfolgreich.
